What was the highlight of VidaMar Resort Hotel Madeira
Good
Hotel clean and comfortable. We were upgraded to a suite which was lovely. Staff all friendly and helpful. Plenty of sunbeds and nice sea front location. Good food choices for breakfast.
Hotel was very large and had a conference feel to it rather than holiday vibe. Quite a bit of walking between room, restaurant, pool area etc. Evening buffet and the other dining options did not feel 5* quality both in terms of food and venues. We didn't go hungry but there was nothing exciting or with any wow factor.

Welcoming, relaxing and has the WOW factor
The location is perfect, the pool area excellent and the staff helpful, professional and welcoming. The grounds really make the Hotel with that wonderful green Maderia touch. Interior is spacious and light with lots of interesting areas to wander round. Bedrooms are well equipped, clean and comfortable having your own large balcony is a bonus. Breakfast & Dinner offer lots of choice changing each day. We had a lovely relaxing time and will return.
Only one thing the tea/coffee stations were constantly over worked there needs to be at least one more if not two.

It’s a good value for money
Good location, very good organized restaurants service, never waited for our drinks or to be seated. Various selection of food for breakfast and dinner, fresh made omelette, porridge, bread, Prosecco….fresh selection of fish, meat, seafood, dessert, fruits…. Good value for money. All rooms facing the ocean, free parking.
Not good soundproof between rooms and balconies. If you have children next door, it can get very noisy. Would be reasonable to make an adult only section for the guest without children. The pool bar is not nice, would not recommend to eat there.

Huge rooms, huge hotel, great view of the ocean
Huge hotel, huge room, great view of the see, friendly staff.
The hotel was just a little too big for our taste, very busy with lots of people, the dining room was crowded. The hotel boasts 4 restaurants, but you have to book in advance, and usually, they are fully booked.
